- Saint Thomas Dayara is a monastεry (dayara) of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The beginning of today's Dayara started here in 1125 with the installation of one of the crosses of Mulanthuruthy Church. In 1809 the younger Bava of Kattumangattu family was interred here. Parumala Thirumeni was consecrated here as Metropolitan on 10 December 1896. On 10 December 1976 the Holy Relics of Parumala Thirumeni were interred here.
