- History:
- Epiphany temple with. Shekhman, Petrovsky district. The parish has existed since 1710. The church was wooden. In 1844, a stone church was built on the site of a dilapidated wooden church. The Temple of the Epiphany was closed in 1934. Since 1956, it has housed a house of culture. In 2007, the parish was recreated. The building was transferred to the parish. Now a prayer room has been created in one of the rooms of the club. A project for the reconstruction of the temple is being developed. Preparatory work is underway: the foundations of the destroyed columns are being dug up, pits are being made. During the reconstruction, a small temple was temporarily equipped in the western part of the temple. The altar is made. The iconostasis is installed. On March 29, 2014, His Grace Bishop Hermogenes consecrated the church with a small rank.
