The Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos in the village of Aleksandrovka, Sosnovsky District, Tambov Region, was founded in 1921. With the blessing of the bishop of the Tambov diocese, in 1921, the blockhouse of the church from the village of Svyatoe Morshansky district was transported by residents to the village of Aleksandrovka. The construction of the church was headed by Timofey Nikitovich Shcherbakov, who worked there until 1958. During the Great Patriotic War, the temple was not closed. In the Church of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos, services were performed: - from April 1945 to March 1946, Archpriest Valentin Yastrebtsev. - from 1946 to 1956, Archpriest Innokenty. - from 1956 to 1968, Archpriest Pyotr Buzaev. - from 1968 to 1974, hieromonk Polycarp. - from July 12, 1975 to March 23, 1976, Schema-Archimandrite Raphael Bryksin. - from 1976 to 2003, Archpriest Anatoly Makeev. - from 2003 to 2008, Priest Alexander Kostikov. - from October 2008 to October 2009 the temple was closed. At present, the rector of the church is Priest Alexander Kostikov. In 2000, Yuri Petrov, the general director of the Morshansk tobacco factory, presented a bell weighing 165 kg. In 2011, donations from the parishioners of the church in the city of Voronezh were used to purchase 4 bells weighing 65 kg, 45 kg, 38 kg, 24 kg. The parish house at the Intercession Church was built from 1980 to 1986 by Archpriest Anatoly Makeev. In one of the rooms, baptisms were carried out, prosphora were baked. In 2006, the house together with the church was gasified, in 2009 the ground floor was renovated. At present, the parish house houses a refectory, a prosphora, the rector's rooms, and a parish library.
