History:

The church is stone, built in 1852 at the expense of parishioners. There are three thrones: St. Trinity and in the refectory - the Nativity of Christ and the Bogolyubskaya Mother of God. There are three villages in the parish: 1) Rachmanino, 50 households; 2) Redkino, 43 courtyards; 3) Sitovka, 22 courtyards. Schools: parish and zemstvo, in the latter - two priests-teachers of the law, receive 75 and 40 rubles a year for their work. There is a parish trusteeship and a savings and loan partnership. The basis for this information was the entry in the “Historical and statistical description of the Tambov diocese (edited by A.E. Andrevsky-Tambov, 1911). According to old residents, the church was destroyed in the thirties. The construction of the new temple began in 2000. The director of the state farm M.G. Nepryntsev assumed the responsibility for the construction. The temple was built at the expense of local residents and philanthropists from Moscow, who are natives of the village of Podgornoye. In 2000, the Dean of the Michurinsky Deanery, Archpriest Alexander Filimonov, consecrated a memorial cross on the site of the future church. In 2006, Vladyka Theodosius visited the village and consecrated a domed cross and bells. In November 2008, the temple was consecrated by a minor consecration by the Dean of the Michurinsky Deanery, Priest Alexei Girich.
